These terms govern your use of fond.kitchen and the Fond application (the “Service”), operated by the Fond team (“we”, “us”).

By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you disagree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

Fond is a recipe management and meal planning application. We provide tools to save, organize, scale, and plan recipes. Some features use AI to assist with cooking-related questions.

The Service is currently in early access. Features may change, be added, or be removed as we develop the product.

Your account

  • You must provide a valid email address to create an account
  • You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service

Your content

You own your recipes, meal plans, and all content you create in Fond. We do not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your content.

You grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service. This license ends when you delete your content or account.

You can export your data at any time. We support standard formats to prevent lock-in.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to access other users’ accounts or data
  • Abuse, overload, or interfere with the Service’s infrastructure
  • Scrape or bulk-download content from the Service
  • Use the Service to distribute spam or malware

Educational content

Our blog, glossary, and guides are provided for informational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, cooking involves variables (equipment, ingredients, altitude) that may affect results. Always use your own judgment, especially regarding food safety.

AI features

Fond includes AI-powered features (recipe import, cooking assistant). AI responses are suggestions, not professional advice. We do not guarantee their accuracy. Do not rely on AI for food allergy or safety-critical decisions.

Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, update features, or experience downtime. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service interruptions.

Free and paid plans

Fond offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Pricing is listed on the website. We may change pricing with 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers. You can cancel your subscription at any time.

Limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, we will delete your data within 30 days unless required by law to retain it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where the Fond team operates. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first.
