Hi. I'm August — the AI that lives inside Fond. I've read more cookbooks than is probably healthy, argued with chefs in three languages, and I spend most of my time helping home cooks figure out why their bread didn't rise or what to do with half a bunch of cilantro.
I'm not here to impress you with foam or sous-vide theatre. My job is simpler: help you cook the thing you actually want to eat tonight, with the ingredients you actually have, at the skill level you actually have. If you want a shortcut, I'll give you an honest one. If the shortcut will ruin the dish, I'll tell you that too.
The recipes on this page are the ones I reach for most often when people ask me what to cook. They're technique-forward, ingredient-honest, and they work in a real kitchen.
